Overview
Antioch is a New York physical-AI simulation company. Greylock’s Saam Motamedi wrote on September 8, 2026 that Greylock is leading the Series A. The company press release the same day put the round at $32 million, with A*, Category Ventures, BoxGroup, and Icehouse Ventures participating, plus angels Shyam Sankar (Palantir CTO), Adrian Macneil (Foxglove CEO), and Ian Andrews (NVIDIA; former Groq). Founders named in the Greylock post: Harry Mellsop, Alex Langshur, and Michael Calvey (previously Transpose, acquired by Chainalysis); Collin Schlager (Meta Reality Labs). Mellsop also worked on computer vision at Tesla. The release says the platform calibrates high-fidelity simulations to each customer’s hardware and runs them at cloud scale, and names Amazon’s Ring as a customer; Ring CPO Jason Mitura is quoted saying simulations matched held-out physical tests. NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Isaac Lab integration and a Nebius cloud partnership are company claims. Robotics 24/7: $8.5 million seed earlier in 2026. The Robot Report: about $4.24 million pre-seed led by A*. Valuation not disclosed. This is not the ancient city and not an unrelated Antioch software brand.
Why Antioch is interesting
September 8, 2026: Greylock led a $32 million Series A. The company says teams can run thousands of parallel evaluations in hardware-calibrated simulation before physical deployment. Named customer: Amazon’s Ring (press release). Valuation, ARR, and paying-customer count were not disclosed. Seed was $8.5 million earlier in 2026; Robot Report put a 2025 pre-seed at about $4.24 million — do not add the three prints into a company total without a company figure.
Product & use cases
Cloud simulation for robotics and autonomy: calibrate a digital twin to the customer’s hardware, then run many parallel evaluations before real-world deployment.
- Robot and drone policy evaluation before hardware time
- Industrial automation and fixed-perception test coverage at cloud scale

Competitive landscape
Edge: The diligence question is whether hardware-calibrated cloud sim actually cuts physical test hours — Ring is a named logo with a held-out-test quote, not a revenue figure.
Antioch sells simulation. XDOF sells real-world teleoperation data. Atoms is a physical-AI holding company. Do not treat a $32 million Series A as a substitute for those other prints.
-
NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Isaac Lab adjacent
Company says it integrates NVIDIA’s open stack. That is a partnership claim, not an acquisition.
-
XDOF adjacent
Real-world robot data collection, not a simulator. See /startup/xdof.

Forbes framed Antioch against Figure’s real-world video collection spend. Different product.
