Financings that should not be counted as plain venture equity
VCT also added several transactions where the headline amount can be misleading if the instrument is ignored.
Metycle — $150M credit facility
Metycle secured a $150 million asset-backed facility from Rivonia Road Capital. This is borrowing capacity used to finance metal trades, not a $150 million equity round.
Spiro — $18M additional debt
Spiro received another $18 million of debt financing from Africa Go Green Fund, increasing AGG's total commitment to $36 million.
BharatPe — debt financing
BharatPe has a September debt-financing record in the database. It should remain separate from the company's priced equity history.
Adaptavate — mixed package
Adaptavate announced a £4 million first-close package combining equity with public innovation funding. The full figure should not be described as venture equity.
Transactions with useful valuation information
Space Labs disclosed a $50 million primary investment for a 4.9% stake. That mathematically implies a post-money valuation of about $1.02 billion, but VCT labels the figure as implied, not company-quoted.
Pilgrim was reported at a $150 million valuation in connection with its $25 million seed financing.
