# Atomicwork Raises $25M+ as AI-Native ITSM Race Widens

> Atomicwork's $25M-plus Series A backs an overlay-first approach to AI-native IT service management, with published pricing and a path beyond ServiceNow.

Atomicwork raised [**more than $25 million in Series A funding**](https://www.atomicwork.com/blog/atomicwork-series-a-funding) on January 28, 2025, co-led by Khosla Ventures and Z47. Battery Ventures, Blume Ventures, Neon Fund, Storm Ventures and Peak XV Partners also participated. The round matters again as Serval's new $150 million Series C sharpens the race to replace—or sit above—ServiceNow, Jira Service Management and Freshservice with AI agents.

Atomicwork did not disclose its valuation. [Reuters reported](https://www.streetinsider.com/Reuters/IT+software+startup+Atomicwork+raises+$25+million+in+Khosla+Ventures-led+funding+round/24255437.html) a $150 million valuation from an unnamed source, which VCT treats as reported rather than company-confirmed. The company said the capital would expand its enterprise AI agents, product and platform support. Individual allocations and the primary-versus-secondary split were not disclosed.

## What Atomicwork sells

Atomicwork combines IT service management, asset management and employee-service workflows with AI agents it calls Coworkers. IT teams can deploy those agents over an existing ServiceNow or Atlassian Jira Service Management installation, then move to Atomicwork's full platform if the economics and controls work.

That creates two revenue paths. Atomicwork [publishes a Professional platform plan](https://www.atomicwork.help/pricing) starting at $25,000 a year for 250 end users and 25,000 AI credits. It also offers outcome pricing: $1 for a resolved knowledge query, $2 for an access request completed end to end and $3 or more for a service resolution, each subject to annual minimums. Larger Business and Enterprise pricing is quote-based.

A representative access workflow starts when an employee requests Tableau or Salesforce. The agent checks role and policy, routes the approval, provisions access and notifies the requester. The buyer pays for the completed outcome. This is easier to evaluate than a vague AI-seat promise, but margins depend on inference cost, integration work, exception handling and how tightly “completed” outcomes are defined.

Atomicwork names Zuora and Pepper Money among its customers. The company says Pepper Money replaced ServiceNow in six weeks and achieved 97% employee satisfaction; those results come from Atomicwork's own case study and have not been independently audited. Reuters independently confirmed that Atomicwork was focused on mid-market buyers and named Zuora and Pepper Money as customers when the Series A was announced.

## Why investors backed the category

[Z47's investment argument](https://www.z47.com/news/atomicwork-series-a-funding) is that older service-management platforms were built around tickets and manual administration. Atomicwork combines an enterprise knowledge graph with agents that can resolve incidents and execute workflows, giving IT departments a route to automate routine work without immediately replacing their existing system.

The closest newer financing is [Serval's $150 million Series C at a $3 billion valuation](/serval-150m-series-c-3b-valuation). Serval is pursuing larger enterprises and explicitly pitches a full replacement for ServiceNow. Atomicwork's overlay-first option reduces switching risk, but it also leaves the incumbent system—and part of the customer relationship—in place.

Atomicwork must prove that outcome pricing stays attractive at scale and that agents can execute privileged changes safely across fragmented enterprise systems. The measurements that matter are net revenue retention, gross margin after model and deployment costs, completed outcomes per customer, automation quality, time to production and the share of customers that progress from an overlay to Atomicwork's full platform.
