# September 21–24 Funding Backfill: 50skills, Spott, HighLife, BCI-Sonics, IPID and More

> A structured backfill of overlooked September 21–24 financings across AI, biotech, semiconductors, fintech and climate, with debt and mixed financing kept separate from equity rounds.

**TL;DR:** VCT's September 21–24 backfill adds a set of verified financings that were missing from the initial publishing run. The goal is **not** to turn every deal into a standalone article. Each verified company now has a canonical profile and financing record, while this roundup provides one crawlable editorial surface.

## Financings that should not be counted as plain venture equity

VCT also added several transactions where the headline amount can be misleading if the instrument is ignored.

### Metycle — $150M credit facility

[Metycle](/startup/metycle) secured a $150 million asset-backed facility from Rivonia Road Capital. This is borrowing capacity used to finance metal trades, **not a $150 million equity round**.

### Spiro — $18M additional debt

[Spiro](/startup/spiro-electric-mobility) received another $18 million of debt financing from Africa Go Green Fund, increasing AGG's total commitment to $36 million.

### BharatPe — debt financing

[BharatPe](/startup/bharatpe) has a September debt-financing record in the database. It should remain separate from the company's priced equity history.

### Adaptavate — mixed package

[Adaptavate](/startup/adaptavate) announced a £4 million first-close package combining equity with public innovation funding. The full figure should not be described as venture equity.

## Transactions with useful valuation information

[Space Labs](/startup/space-labs) disclosed a $50 million primary investment for a 4.9% stake. That mathematically implies a post-money valuation of about $1.02 billion, but VCT labels the figure as **implied**, not company-quoted.

[Pilgrim](/startup/pilgrim-biosecurity) was reported at a $150 million valuation in connection with its $25 million seed financing.

## Why these are mostly profiles, not separate articles

Most of these companies do not yet have enough search demand or differentiated editorial context to justify another thin news URL.

The permanent startup pages are designed to accumulate:

- financing history;
- investors;
- valuation evidence;
- instrument type;
- company status; and
- later related coverage.

That gives future events somewhere useful to compound instead of producing one disposable article per funding announcement.
