Physical AI attracted some of the period's largest checks, but the category is not one market. A robot manufacturer, a physical-world AI lab, and a training-data company have different capital needs. The shared diligence question is whether the system can move from demo to **repeatable deployment and manufacturing**.

## What the sample supports

Mega-rounds reflect conviction that industrial deployment can support enormous outcomes; they do not prove that every robotics company has escaped technical or manufacturing risk. Smaller rounds still need evidence of repeatable customer workflows and a path to gross-margin improvement.

The sector is best compared by deployment stage, hardware intensity, and buyer—not by a single “physical AI” label.
